GBC Group paid over RD$1,500 million in taxes to the treasury from 2018 to 2024; its sales exceed 70 billion in seven years

Reaffirms its business and social commitment to continue supporting religious, sports, cultural, and professional entities

Santo Domingo.- The GBC Group reaffirmed today its contribution to the country's development, after 28 uninterrupted years in the pharmaceutical market, with an employment of 4,238 employees spread throughout the national territory and sales exceeding RD$70 billion in the last seven years. He attributed his company's growth to teamwork, being a pioneer in medicine discounts, and a clear social vision, where people's health is above economic interest, especially in favor of the poorest.

"It's better to earn less, but reach with our branches the places that others have despised; the poorest are those who benefit most from our discounts and social actions," the entity expresses.

The GBC group, the national market leader in the retail sale of medicines, which has 184 branches throughout the national territory, from 2018 to 2024 has contributed to the treasury RD$1,563,360,099.36 in income tax; RD$893,671,693.51 to the Social Security Treasury (TSS), RD$42,168,202.00 in contributions to the National Institute for Technical Professional Training (INFOTEP). As well as RD$1,210,307,075.59 in advances, RD$142,517,003.16 in Employee Withholding (IR-13), RD$53,845,003.19 in Tax on Complementary Remunerations (R-17) and RD$154,139,545.58 in retained itebis.

Customer confidence has left this pharmaceutical group with large dividends from sales, for example: during 2018 it sold RD$2,490,749,855.73; in 2019 RD$3,676,471,996.91; in 2020 RD$5,641,434,639.43; in 2021 RD$7,998,135,309.27, in 2022 RD$11,299,103,318.80; in 2023 RD$16,337,442,965.07 and during 2024 RD$23,196,624,857.42, for a total of RD$70,669,962,842.63     In its role supporting national growth, it has made significant contributions to non-profit institutions such as the Amaury Germán Aristy Foundation, Dominican Obesity and Cardiovascular Prevention, United Hands for Autism, Friends Against Childhood Cancer, United for Blood, and LASO.

Also, he has made significant financial contributions to the celebration of multiple cultural, sporting, religious, and professional events.
