SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- The Mauricio Báez club completely took over the first position of group A after defeating Huellas del Siglo 79-72 this Wednesday to conclude the eighth date of competition of the 49 TBS Distrito 2025.
The TBS District 2025 will continue this Friday with a double header corresponding to the regular season and which resumes the intergroup matches, in the ninth date of competition. At 7:00 PM, the Huellas del Siglo clubs face El Millón, and at 9:00, San Carlos against Bameso.

The Mauritians stitch together a victorious streak of three games to put their record at 3-1, leader of group A, while Huellas loses the second in a row and walks in the opposite direction with a 1-3 mark. In that same group, Los Prados and San Carlos are tied with a 2-2 record. Juan Miguel Suero was the top Mauritian scorer with 17 points, backed by his older brother Gerardo Suero, who contributed 13 points and four rebounds, American reinforcement Tony Farmer achieved a double-double of 11 units plus 10 rebounds, and Richard Bautista finished with 10 points and six assists. By Huellas, imports Enmanuel Egbuta and Jalen Nesmith scored 17 and points, respectively, Darwin Cabrera had 11 and six rebounds. The TBS District 2025 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), chaired by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee is headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency. This year's event is dedicated to the Dominican Sports Immortal Evaristo Pérez, former member of the national basketball team and former player of the San Carlos squad.
