Cibao Association and INTEC graduate 129 representatives of ASFL in different training programs

Santo Domingo. – The Cibao Savings and Loan Association and the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology (INTEC) held the closing ceremony of the training programs aimed at Non-Profit Associations (ASFL), in which 129 representatives from 115 organizations from various provinces of the country participated.

The programs, offered under the Capacity Building Program for Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), included the following training: "Administrative Management of Non-Profit Associations", and the workshops on "Compliance, Transparency and Accountability for NPOs", and "Leadership Skills", completing 4,938 hours of training. This year, 186 people from 141 non-profit organizations enrolled, representing 24 cities in the country. Of those enrolled, 129 successfully completed their training.

During the ceremony, Yara Hernández, Vice President of Communications and Sustainability of Asociación Cibao, highlighted that "we have invested in training initiatives aimed at strengthening non-profit organizations, because we firmly believe that investing in the knowledge and training of people is one of the most effective ways to transform lives and communities."

Since 2021, Asociación Cibao has allocated more than RD$7.4 million to training initiatives aimed at strengthening the social sector, certifying more than 480 participants since the beginning of its training program for non-profit entities. These actions, Hernández pointed out, "are part of a social investment strategy that seeks to generate a sustainable impact and promote transparency, innovation and community development".

The activity, developed in coordination with INTEC, is part of the joint effort of both institutions to strengthen the technical and management capacities of the entities that work for the development of the country's communities.
