The NBA imposed a $35,000 fine on Denver Nuggets coach David Adelman on Sunday for addressing a referee with "inappropriate language," the league announced.
"Adelman was fined $35,000 for using inappropriate language towards the referees and not leaving the court immediately after his ejection," the NBA reported.
Adelman was ejected last night in the last quarter of the game in Denver between the Nuggets and the Houston Rockets after receiving a second technical foul after claiming a foul on Nikola Jokic.

It was Adelman's first ejection in the NBA, who took over the Nuggets' bench last season. The Rockets won the game by 101-115, ending the Nuggets' six-game winning streak and avenging the defeat they had also suffered in Denver five days earlier. Rockets coach Ime Udoka had been fined $25,000 for complaints to the referees in that game.
