Hospital emergency rooms register low influx during New Year's start

Santo Domingo.– The emergency areas of the main hospitals in Greater Santo Domingo remain empty or with very few patients during the first hours of this New Year, as confirmed by a De Último Minuto team after a tour of several health centers. During the visit to the hospitals Doctor Francisco E. Moscoso Puello, Doctor Darío Contreras and San Lorenzo de Los Mina, a relatively calm environment was observed compared to previous years, with no reports of critical situations. The on-duty medical staff indicated that no major incidents have been recorded, only attending to isolated cases of traffic accidents, as well as poisoning from the consumption of alcoholic beverages and food.

Health authorities maintain the usual vigilance and reiterate the call to citizens to act with caution, especially in transit and in the responsible consumption of alcohol and food, to avoid preventable emergencies during the holidays.
