Santo Domingo.– The General Directorate of Penitentiary and Correctional Services (DGSPC) transferred 400 inmates from La Victoria Penitentiary Center to the Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR) Las Parras this Friday, as part of the relocation process initiated in November 2025. Through a statement, the institution informed that with this group of inmates, 50% of the capacity of the first module of the CCR Las Parras is completed, which was delivered by the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (Mived) within the works of completion and reconditioning of the penitentiary complex. During the relocation process, the general director of the Penitentiary Services, Roberto Santana, thanked the collaborative attitude of the inmates of La Victoria who are still waiting to be relocated, highlighting that their disposition has contributed to the orderly development of the operation.
