Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) regretted that the new comprehensive traffic management strategy for Greater Santo Domingo does not contemplate bus terminals with which it sought to prevent buses from entering the National District and thus reduce traffic jams.
The organization said this Saturday in a note that the plan announced by the Government should have included these terminals to achieve the effect of decongesting traffic in the National District.

"The Government has announced new measures to improve mobility, and within these should have been the commissioning of the East bus terminal, completed and inaugurated by Danilo Medina and the PLD," the information highlighted. The PLD affirmed that in conceiving the bus terminals, the management of former President Danilo Medina aimed to decongest the city center, which would result in time savings to enter it, mitigation of the environmental impact of transportation, and would avoid traffic jams, which would translate into improving people's quality of life.
