Santo Domingo. - The spokesperson for the deputies of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Amado Díaz, stated this Wednesday that the Chamber of Deputies will approve today the reform project to the Penal Code and that it would be sent immediately to the Senate of the Republic.

The legislator explained that the commission that studied the piece concluded its work and is ready to sign the final report that will be presented to the plenary. "Everything that had to do with studies was agreed upon, what is not agreed upon will go to debate, but today we are already going to the debates and the approval," he expressed. Regarding the changes to the original project, Díaz pointed out that "innumerable modifications" were made, although he did not specify the exact number or the topics they cover. "All the appropriate modifications were made, which contribute to enriching the project," he maintained. Regarding possible modification proposals from the chamber, he said he has heard that some deputies have ideas, but so far they have not been formally submitted.
