Virginia, USA – American theater and television actor Adam Turck, 35, died last week after trying to stop a violent domestic dispute while walking his dog on a street in Richmond, Virginia.
According to the Richmond Police Department, the events occurred around 10:00 a.m. on East Grace Street, when Turck witnessed an argument between a 19-year-old and a woman. Upon intervening, the aggressor shot him and then inflicted a gunshot wound on himself.

Media outlets such as People magazine reported that, initially, the authorities only reported the death of a man in a public place, without revealing that it was the renowned actor. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found Turck and the aggressor seriously injured. Turck was taken to a hospital, where he remained on life support to fulfill his wish to donate his organs. His gesture of intervening to protect a woman and save other lives through donation has been considered by many as an act of heroism. The case has shocked the artistic community and the public, who remember Adam Turck not only for his talent on stage, but for his courage and commitment to helping others.
