Anitta reappears publicly after overcoming a serious bacterial infection

SAO PAULO.– Brazilian singer Anitta reappeared in public and on her social media after recovering from a severe bacterial infection that forced her to cancel professional commitments in recent weeks. The artist shared images in her Instagram stories where she was seen smiling with Colombian actress Sofía Vergara and British supermodel Naomi Campbell, marking her return to the media spotlight. The interpreter of "Envolver" was seen at an exclusive musical event in which artists such as Ellie Goulding and Anderson .Paak also participated. This reappearance confirms her favorable evolution after the delicate health condition that kept her away from the stages since mid-June.

Cancellation for health reasons

On June 16th, Anitta had informed her followers that she would not be able to perform at the traditional São João festival in Campina Grande, due to medical complications. “Unfortunately, my first show at São João will not take place. I can't explain how sad I am. This year has been a challenge for me, between commitments and cancellations,” she expressed then. The artist explained that she is suffering from a "quite serious" bacterial infection, and although she initially thought she could fulfill her presentation, the clinical picture worsened, forcing her to prioritize her recovery.

Rumors about her new appearance

In parallel with her return, Anitta stirred up a buzz on social media due to apparent changes in her face. Many users speculated about possible recent cosmetic enhancements, although neither the singer nor her team have commented on the matter. However, his team did clarify that the infection that caused the suspension of his show is not related to surgical procedures. "The bacterial infection is already being treated and its evolution has been positive," they indicated in a statement.

A clear stance on aesthetics

Anitta has spoken openly in various interviews about her affinity for cosmetic surgeries. In a conversation with Glamour UK in 2023, the artist said she has no qualms about admitting her interventions. "People always talk about accepting yourself, but they don't recognize when they've changed something. If you want to do it, do it, don't waste time on what others say," she expressed.
