His relatives reported the shots and, upon arriving at the scene, paramedics confirmed that he had lost his life inside the bathroom of the house, as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. According to publications, witnesses mentioned that a man fled in a vehicle after the attack. Local authorities reported that an investigation file has already been initiated in collaboration with state and federal agencies to clarify the circumstances of the crime. Hours before his death, Ochoa himself made a live broadcast in which he showed the clothes he would wear that day, clothing that matched the one found by the authorities at the scene of the attack. Camilo Ochoa never hid his past. In interviews and social media broadcasts, he recounted that he belonged to the Sinaloa Cartel until 2014, when he operated as a hitman in Mazatlán and came to control a plaza amid violent clashes with rivals. Among his stories, he highlighted the assassination attempt against him, as well as clashes with Dámaso López Núñez, alias El Mini Lic. He also narrated that in 2004, while working in the family fast food business in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, he was kidnapped by members of Los Zetas, an episode that he assured changed the course of his life, indicated El Universal. After leaving organized crime, Ochoa became a public figure on social media, where he claimed his goal was to warn young people about the risks of getting involved in drug trafficking. His direct and unfiltered style gained him followers who saw him as an example of redemption, but also critics who accused him of glorifying violence. In January 2025, his name made headlines again when flyers circulated in Culiacán linking him to Los Chapitos, along with personalities such as singer Peso Pluma and influencer Markitos Toys.
