Graziella Dall'Oglio passed away in 2022, but her son did not report her death and instead continued to collect her pension, until he was discovered in the Italian municipality of Borgo Virgilio, in the province of Mantua, attempting to impersonate her.
According to what was reported this Monday by local media, the man, an unemployed 56-year-old nurse, disguised himself as his own mother with a wig, makeup, painted nails and other objects to renew his identity document, but something strange was noticed in the civil registry.

A municipal employee noticed both the contrasts in age and the difference in the necks of both relatives. Faced with this, they decided to issue a new summons for November 19, the date on which police were waiting for him. Once he confessed the truth, it was known that Graziella's body was mummified, wrapped in sheets and kept in two sleeping bags hidden in her house. They quickly arranged an autopsy to find out the cause of death, which is presumed to have occurred naturally. The subject is now under investigation for the alleged crimes of concealment of a corpse, fraud against the State, identity theft, and forgery of a public document.
