Novak Djokovic announced this Monday his decision to
not participate in the ATP Masters 1000 of Cincinnati, a tournament that starts on
August 7th. The news was confirmed by his team in a brief statement, without giving further details about the reasons behind his absence.

38 years and currently ranked
number 6 in the ATP ranking, Djokovic has not competed since his elimination in the
Wimbledon semi-finals, where he fell to the Italian

Expected return at the US Open
Despite her absence in Cincinnati, the winner of
24 Grand Slam titles is expected to reappear at the upcoming
US Open, which will begin on
August 24 in
