Santo Domingo. – . Arajet, the Dominican airline, celebrated a new edition of its initiative “Pilot for a Day”, an educational program that seeks to encourage children and young people to enter the aviation industry.
In this commemorative edition, 21 students from the Vetilio Alfau Duran School participated, who learned about the different areas of work that make up the airline to promote educational and professional interest in areas related to aeronautics in order to enter this labor market in the future.

Upon receiving the participants, the CEO and founder of Arajet, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, stated: "We want to convey to these children our passion for aviation, so that in the future they can be part of the different careers in the aeronautical sector and can lead important areas of it that allow them to grow professionally."
The students toured the Arajet offices, had a personalized meeting with crew members, and then visited the hangar at Las Américas International Airport. During the tour, they were able to meet the aircraft maintenance team, visit the control cabin, and enjoy a series of amenities.

During the two and a half years in which the program has been running, more than 1,000 children and adolescents from vulnerable areas of the Dominican Republic have been received, reaffirming its commitment to education and social development, sowing the seed of a strong and sustainable aeronautical industry in the Dominican Republic.
