Miches.- With the presence of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader and national and local authorities, Viva Resorts by Wyndham celebrated the official inauguration of Viva Miches by Wyndham, its new resort located on the beachfront in the spectacular Esmeralda Beach, in the emerging destination of Miches.
“38 years ago, we began our story in the Dominican Republic with a pioneering spirit. That same spirit led us to discover destinations like Bayahibe, and today brings us with enthusiasm to Miches, reaffirming our promise to offer the best beaches, with the joy and hospitality that characterizes us,” said Ettore Colussi, founder and president of the company.
With an initial investment of 80 million dollars, Viva Miches by Wyndham opens its doors with 538 rooms, five restaurants with international culinary offerings, entertainment areas and all-inclusive services. In a second phase, it is planned to expand the capacity to 750 rooms, reaching a total investment of 130 million dollars.
“Viva Resorts by Wyndham is a true ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the world. We proudly bring the identity of our beaches, our culture, and the Dominican spirit to Mexico and the Bahamas. This, our sixth resort in the country, is a testament to our confidence in the Dominican Republic and in the future of Miches,” he added.
The resort was designed by Simples Arquitectura, based on criteria of landscape integration and sustainability. This project is part of a strategic regional transformation, driven by new public infrastructure works that improve connectivity and guarantee essential services to consolidate Miches as a new tourist destination.

The resort is part of the Wyndham Green program, which promotes energy efficiency, the reduction of plastic use, responsible water management, and the incorporation of renewable energies.
