Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET) reported that the atmospheric conditions over the Dominican territory will remain very favorable, with cloud cover increasing from early hours and throughout the morning, bringing local showers and thunderstorms, especially in the following regions: northwest, north, northeast, and southeast, due to the influence of a frontal system.
In the afternoon, showers will be moderate to heavy with thunderstorms and wind gusts in towns of: Dajabón, Elías Piña, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez, Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, Santiago, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, Independencia, Pedernales, La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, El Seibo and Monte Plata. At night, the rainfall will persist and move to sectors of Gran Santo Domingo, Peravia, San Cristóbal, La Romana and San Pedro de Macorís, gradually decreasing during the early morning.
Tomorrow Friday: we will continue with an atmospheric pattern with abundant humidity, a product of the incidence of the frontal system and the approach of a tropical wave. Both will be responsible for the generation of cloud cover increases with moderate to heavy showers, electrical storms and wind gusts, being more frequent during the afternoon and night, especially over the Cibao valley, Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Peravia, San Cristóbal, Barahona and Pedernales, among other nearby areas. These precipitations will gradually reduce during the night.
