A Russian civilian died today in the border region of Kursk after a Ukrainian drone attack on the car in which she was traveling, local governor Alexandr Khinshtein reported this Tuesday.
"According to previous reports, an enemy FPV drone attacked a Lada Granta car in the town of Belitsa in the Belovsky district. Unfortunately, as a result of the attack, a woman born in 1979 died. It is a great misfortune," he wrote on his Telegram account.
He added that another drone attacked the village of Peschanoye in the same district, injuring a 49-year-old man.
"His life is not in danger, he went to the hospital on his own to receive medical attention," he indicated.
Jinshtéin called on the citizens of Kursk not to neglect safety measures and asserted that the enemy continues to attack the border areas every day.
The Kursk and Belgorod regions, bordering Ukraine, have been the most affected in Russia during the more than three years of war in Ukraine.
