During the visit to the Pablo Adón Guzman station, located at the entrance to Los Alcarrizos, the president personally verified the operation of the system and reaffirmed that the projection for the line to begin operating for the public in February 2026 is maintained.

Santo Domingo Metro Line 2C will be approximately 7.3 kilometers long, connecting from kilometer 9 of the Duarte highway to the center of Los Alcarrizos. It will include five elevated stations, as well as a viaduct that will significantly help to decongest traffic at one of the most critical entrances to the capital. In addition, it is estimated that it will benefit more than 400,000 people and reduce the travel time from Los Alcarrizos to the center of Santo Domingo from more than an hour to just 15 minutes.
Abinader also announced that the installation of a GOB Point is being coordinated within this station, which has the space and the necessary conditions to provide multiple services. This initiative aims to bring the services of public institutions closer to the residents of the area, facilitating access to procedures and reducing the need to move to other demarcations.
"This will allow both passengers and citizens living in the surrounding areas to carry out government procedures with greater comfort and efficiency," said the Head of State.
