Bonao. – The Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP), Bonao section, approved a plan of struggle that will be developed from Monday 19th to Friday 30th of January, during an assembly held at the CURCE-UASD Bonao campus, with the participation of teachers and union leaders from the education sector.
During the meeting, teachers expressed their rejection of the merger between the Ministry of Education (MINERD) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT), considering that this measure affects the quality and organization of the national education system.
Furthermore, the assembly denounced the lack of teachers, as well as support and administrative staff in the educational centers, a situation that, according to them, overloads the teaching staff and limits the correct development of the teaching-learning process.
