A recent study has revealed that the Apple Watch smartwatch, developed by Apple, could identify early signs of pregnancy with an accuracy close to 92%, thanks to its health monitoring sensors.
Research indicates that the device is capable of detecting changes in basal body temperature during sleep, one of the first physiological signs that occur after conception. These sensors record subtle variations in the body that occur after ovulation and tend to persist when pregnancy occurs.
Specialists explain that the continuous analysis of this data allows for the recognition of patterns associated with the menstrual cycle and possible hormonal changes, which opens up new possibilities for monitoring reproductive health through wearable technology.
However, researchers clarify that the smartwatch does not replace medical tests or consultations with health professionals. Rather, it is a complementary tool that could help people who are trying to conceive or wish to keep a more detailed track of their cycle.
