Santo Domingo Este. – The communicator and political leader Ludwig Álvarez called on the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, to evaluate the possibility of extending the Cable Car from Sabana Perdida to San Luis, as part of a strategic mobility project that would directly impact the number three constituency of Santo Domingo Este.
Álvarez explained that the initiative would benefit more than fifteen communities in the area, including Cacino Adentro, El Tamarindo, El Margara, Perla, Villa Liberación, Hainamosa, Los Rosales, El Almirante and San Luis, significantly improving the connectivity and quality of life of thousands of citizens.
"A cable car with stops in these sectors would offer faster, more economical, and safer transportation, while also helping to decongest the Mella highway. This work would be a relief for users and a commitment to the future of urban mobility," he said.
In that sense, he urged the eleven deputies of the third constituency of Santo Domingo Este to unite, without distinction of political affiliations, to jointly support this petition before the head of state.
"If all legislators support this proposal, we will be sending a message of unity in favor of the people. This project would transform transportation in Santo Domingo Este and allow thousands of new users to join the system," he added.
Álvarez highlighted that the expansion of the Cable Car would consolidate the Government's vision of continuing to promote modern urban mobility solutions and reiterated that the community is willing to support this management.
"President Abinader, the third constituency needs this work and we trust that your team will seriously evaluate this proposal, because the change must continue," he expressed.
Finally, he highlighted that, with the extension of the Cable Car to San Luis, thousands of young people from Santo Domingo Norte, Los Alcarrizos, Santo Domingo Oeste and a large part of Santo Domingo Este would have faster and safer access to the Instituto Tecnológico Comunitario (ITSC), located in San Luis, thus strengthening academic training and development opportunities in the region.
