Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Green Party (PASOVE) announced the swearing-in of its new authorities, within the framework of the National Extraordinary Convention of Delegates, to be held this Sunday, September 21, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., in the Gran Salón of the Banreservas Club, located on Luperón Avenue, Santo Domingo.
This act constitutes a transcendental step in strengthening the institutional framework of the Green Party, reaffirming its commitment to democracy, citizen participation, and the construction of a sustainable future for the Dominican Republic.
Antolín Polanco, president of the entity, expressed that this taking of possession of the new authorities represents a significant advance for the political organization. "We are taking a firm step towards the consolidation of a renewed leadership, with the determination to continue promoting proposals that promote transparency, social inclusion and the defense of the environment," he pointed out.
During the last assembly of its National Executive Committee, the Dominican Green Party chose Angelita Peña as its new president. National, provincial, and municipal leaders attended the event, who expressed their support for the new direction, highlighting the need for a united effort to make the PVD a real alternative within the national political scene.
Angelita Peña, a renowned businesswoman and politician with a long career in the country's public life, will assume the responsibility of leading the Green Party towards a stage where the commitment to democracy, social equity, and respect for the environment are the fundamental axes of its agenda.
With this decision, the PVD renews its promise to be a political space close to the people, where the voices of communities, young people, women, and the most vulnerable sectors have representation and hope in a more just and sustainable nation project.
