Santo Domingo. – The digital newspaper www.herrerafarandula.net was nominated in the category “Best Digital Entertainment Newspaper” in the eighth edition of the National Digital Journalism Award 2025, organized by the Dominican Digital Media Observatory. The distinction highlights the work, leadership and growth of the media under the direction of its CEO, Francisca María Jiménez.
Jiménez, with a degree in Social Communication, Journalism major, holds diplomas in Investigative Journalism, Digital Journalism, Judicial Journalism and Web Integrity, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations. Her academic background, professional vision and commitment to quality have been key in positioning the portal within Dominican digital entertainment. In this edition, Herrera Farándula will compete with cineculturaymas.com, luminariastv.com and masvip.com.do, media outlets with a recognized trajectory in the field of entertainment. The awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 25, at 6:30 p.m., at the Indotel Center, located in the Colonial Zone, and will bring together journalists, communicators, media directors, and representatives of the digital ecosystem. For Francisca María Jiménez, this nomination represents a renewed boost to continue strengthening the informative quality of the media outlet.
