On Tuesday, the tropical wave will be leaving our territory and the trough aloft will begin to weaken, but a new tropical wave currently located east of Puerto Rico will maintain some conditions in our air mass to generate isolated showers in the morning in towns near the northeast and southeast coasts of the country, while in the afternoon, there will be other cloud increases that will leave showers and thunderstorms in provinces such as: Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Azua, San Juan, Peravia, San Cristóbal, Santiago, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Barahona and El Gran Santo Domingo. In the evening, these precipitations will gradually disappear.
The temperatures will continue to be hot due to the time of year we are in (summer) and the presence of dust from the Sahara desert. Therefore, the recommendation to drink enough fluids, wear light-colored clothing, and seek cool and ventilated places remains. In addition, keep in mind that children and the elderly are more susceptible to the effects of high thermal sensation. The population is urged to remain attentive to the upcoming bulletins, as these levels of meteorological alerts could be modified.
