Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) launched the first Dominican stories on cybersecurity for children and adolescents, by the writer Anya Damirón, within the framework of the Santo Domingo International Book Fair 2025 (FILSD 2025).
From her side, the First Lady and President of the Cabinet for Children and Adolescents in the Dominican Republic, Raquel Arbaje, encouraged young people to make productive use of technologies and promote reading as a cross-cutting axis of education."How good that technology leads us to illusion, but how good also that we make the effort as an institution in the interest of establishing the bases for effective care and protecting our children and adolescents from the risks of cybersecurity," the official pointed out.
The stories, authored by writer Anya Damirón, "Screens on the Farm" and "Train of Fun" were presented to hundreds of children and adolescents, who, excited, listened to the creative and accessible stories offered by the first storyteller on cybersecurity, with the purpose of transmitting values of care, trust and awareness in the use of technology."When we read a book, we live at the same time as the friends we find on the pages, installing in our brain a series of words and emotions that awaken creativity to be more competent professionals," Arbaje expressed.
