Santo Domingo.– With the purpose of strengthening the continuous training of technicians and teachers of physical education, the Teaching Directorate of the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) held the Update Workshop in the Athletics Area, on the 11th and 12th of this month, at the Faculty of Education of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).
The training day was led by the INEFI's teaching director, Orlando Taveras, and was attended by 100 technicians from educational regions 10 and 15.
During the workshop, specialists addressed various topics. Pedro Ynoa discussed the topic of races; José Lara developed the module on jumps; and Sandino Adames taught the content related to throws. In addition to the theoretical foundation, the facilitators conducted practical sessions with the participants at the Eugenio María de Hostos venue, thus strengthening applied learning.

Orlando Taveras highlighted that, from the Teaching Directorate and with the support of the executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez Mella, a new training approach is being promoted, based on permanent updating and the implementation of active and innovative methodologies in the teaching of physical education physical.Also present at the activity were the director of the School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Confesor Lapaix, as well as the technicians José J. Troncoso and Sandino Adames.“These workshops are part of a sustainable project, which responds to a real need of the educational system in the area of physical education,” said Taveras during the closing day with the teachers of regional 10.
