"Denying financial services to those operating under the legal framework does not protect the financial system; on the contrary, it weakens it," said Yamile Gutiérrez.
"This practice generates an environment of uncertainty that contradicts the public policy of promoting foreign investment and regional competitiveness that the country is promoting. It is essential that financial entities recognize their role in supporting legality and transparency, instead of opting for unjustified exclusion."
