Man arrested in the act after stealing oil from a grocery store in Monte Plata

Monte Plata.– Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division (DICRIM), in coordination with the Preventive Police, personnel from the Monte Plata Department (5th Unit) and the Criminal Intelligence Directorate (DINTEL), arrested a man in flagrante delicto on the afternoon of Monday, July 21st. The detainee was identified as Cristian Brioso Abad, alias "El Flaco" and "Malan", 29 years old, residing in the community of El Hatillo, Monte Plata province.

According to the police report, Brioso Abad was caught moments after stealing two jumbo gallons of Crisol oil from the Mini Market La Rubia grocery store, located on #16 street in the Pueblo Arriba sector, in Monte Plata. The establishment is owned by Mr. Juan Carlos Santamaría, 41 years old, a resident of the same sector. The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
