Mexico City.- The Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) gained 0.24% this Monday, which boosted its main indicator, the Price and Quotations Index (IPC), to rise to 63,528 units, on a day with losses worldwide.
"The capital market closed the session with losses due to nervousness about the monetary policy decision of the Fed (US Federal Reserve), next Wednesday, December 10," explained to EFE the director of economic and financial analysis of the firm Banco Base, Gabriela Siller.

Mexico, the expert pointed out, the CPI "closed the session with a gain of 0.24% to add three days up and three down in the first six sessions of December".
Inside the Mexican market, Siller indicated, the advances of the issuers stood out: Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (+4.38%), Banco del Bajío (+2.54%), Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (+2.32%), Pinfra (+2.24%), Alsea (+2.06%) and Coca-Cola Femsa (+2.04%).
Meanwhile, the director of Economic Analysis at the financial group Actinver, Enrique Covarrubias, pointed out that with today's movement, the Mexican index placed its advance in December at +1% and so far this year at +28.3%.
"By broadcasters, 20 of the 35 main ones that make up the index ended in positive territory," Covarrubias detailed.
During the day, the Mexican peso depreciated 0.44% against the dollar, trading at 18.26 units per greenback, compared to 18.18 on the previous day, according to data from the Bank of Mexico.
The volume traded on the market reached 186.2 million securities for an amount of 14.901 billion pesos (about 815 million dollars or 702 million euros).
Of the 682 companies that traded during the day, 308 ended with their prices up, 348 had losses, and 26 closed unchanged.
The titles with the highest upward variation were from the Inter-American Entertainment Corporation (CIE B), with 5%; from the household products company Grupo Vasconia (VASCONI), with 4.42%, and from Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP B) with 4.38%.
In contrast, the largest downward variations were from the home builder Corpovael (CADU A), with -6.25%; from the construction and infrastructure firm Operadora de Sites Mexicanos (SITES1 A-1), with -3.79%, and from the financial group Banorte (GFNORTE O), with -3.39%.
