Operation Allies for Childhood V: 15 minors rescued and 32 people arrested

Santo Domingo.– On August 26th, authorities from 15 Latin American and Caribbean countries executed Operation Allies for Childhood V, a coordinated regional effort to combat online sexual exploitation and abuse of children and adolescents. The fifth edition of this operation, developed with the support of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), resulted in 83 raids and search warrants being executed, 32 people arrested for alleged links to crimes of child sexual exploitation, 15 minors were rescued and placed under protection.

While 32 people were arrested for alleged links to child sexual exploitation crimes and 514 electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis, these actions constitute one of the highest impact in the region. With this joint action, the authorities reinforce their commitment to protect children and confront the criminal networks operating in digital environments, marking another step in the regional fight against child sexual exploitation.
