Santo Domingo.– On August 26th, authorities from 15 Latin American and Caribbean countries executed Operation Allies for Childhood V, a coordinated regional effort to combat online sexual exploitation and abuse of children and adolescents.
The fifth edition of this operation, developed with the support of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), resulted in 83 raids and search warrants being executed, 32 people arrested for alleged links to crimes of child sexual exploitation, 15 minors were rescued and placed under protection.
