Patricia Bullrich formally submitted her resignation from the Ministry of Security this Sunday, a procedure required after having been sworn in as a national senator on Friday. In the letter sent to President Javier Milei, the former official reaffirmed her support for the libertarian administration and emphasized that her commitment to the government's political direction "remains intact."

In the farewell message, Bullrich assured that she will continue to support the transformations promoted by the ruling party. "I will continue to defend the values we share and the reforms that Argentina needs: strong institutions, law, order, and a country where good Argentinians can develop in freedom," she wrote. She also thanked the trust placed in her and highlighted the work of her team during a year that, she emphasized, was marked by key operations and significant changes in security matters.

As of December 10, Bullrich will take her seat in the Senate, while the leadership of the Ministry of Security will pass to Alejandra Monteoliva, until now Secretary of Security. In her letter, the former minister expressed explicit support for her successor: "She knows the doctrine, was at the forefront in every challenge and has the capacity and commitment necessary to deepen the path initiated. If anyone can sustain and improve the serious, firm and effective security policy that we achieved, it is her." With this transition, the Government seeks to ensure continuity in one of the areas where Milei has highlighted order, efficiency, and political firmness during his first year in office.
