La Altagracia.— Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) closed 2025 consolidating its leadership as the main air gateway to the Dominican Republic and one of the leading airports in traffic and operations in the Caribbean, by registering sustained growth and reaching multiple historical records of operations and passenger flow in the same month, a reflection of an integral strategy of connectivity, quality of service and infrastructure. During December 2025, the PUJ achieved three consecutive weekly flight records, reaching 812, 896 and finally 900 weekly flights, an unprecedented mark that demonstrates the robustness of its operational capacity in high season. This behavior was accompanied by a year-on-year increase of 11.5% in passenger flow during December, going from 975,450 passengers in December 2024 to 1,087,621 in December 2025. Likewise, the month's air operation showed record performance, with a growth of 12.8% in total flights, going from 3,062 operations in December 2024 to 3,453 in December 2025, consolidating the operational capacity of PUJ in high season. The closing of 2025 confirms the upward trend of PUJ, by mobilizing more than 11 million passengers in the year, representing an increase of 9.9% compared to 2024, while air operations grew by 15.6%, reaching 35,092 flights. This performance responds, among other factors, to the opening of new strategic routes with key markets such as France, Mexico, the United States, Colombia and the Eastern Caribbean, as well as the expansion of international airlines that continue to bet on Punta Cana as a regional tourist hub.

These results reaffirm Punta Cana Airport as one of the airports with the highest international traffic in the Caribbean and Latin America, and reflect the positive impact of a tourism ecosystem strengthened by new hotel openings, strategic alliances and a vision aimed at offering a safe, efficient and memorable travel experience, consolidating its role as a key engine of the country's economic and tourism development.
