Santiago de los Caballeros. – The campaign team of Plancha #1, headed by Carlos Arroyo Ramos, stated this Thursday that the programmatic proposal offered to local journalists rests on five strategic axes that summarize the actions of the CDP Santiago in the next two years.
At the time of calling to vote for work, peace and transparency, it highlights that the Program concentrates the activities that will be developed in the different areas, as well as the responses that the next management team will offer to the different challenges facing the CDP and journalists.
To maintain and strengthen the institutional part, the plan concentrates several actions such as the formation of a permanent commission for institutional strengthening and transparency practices, the implementation of an "Executive Directorate Operational Manual" to regulate and improve the functioning of this important instance of the CDP and strengthen institutional processes, as well as a Regulation of Operation and Internal Responsibilities of the administrative offices of the Olympic Village.
Consider, in addition, the redesign and relaunch of the website to share with the membership the day-to-day information of the CDP and the application of a contract as a prior and mandatory condition for the rental of the halls of the Olympic Village. It seeks to ensure the right to compensation and repair in cases of damage suffered by the facilities.
A second and very important axis specifically addresses academic training and knowledge updating. It promises that in the future, a less general and more focused educational policy will be chosen, targeting specific training needs that encompass the different areas of journalism and communication.
Among the initiatives to be undertaken are the establishment of a permanent commission to be headed by the Secretary of Education, a survey to establish the number of affiliates who can and want to opt for a university degree, design of training, capacity building and updating programs aimed at specific nuclei grouped in the CDP.
(Cameramen, photographers, sports reporters, social and art reporters, political reporters, digital newspaper editors, producers and hosts of television and radio programs), and open permanent cycles of workshops, talks and conferences on topics of journalism, communications and society in general.
In addition, strengthen the CDP's Training School so that newly admitted members are familiar with Law 10-91, its internal regulations, the Code of Ethics and the history of the institution, which will contribute to the training of new leaders, signing exchange and cooperation agreements with the most important universities in the area, as well as with training and technical training centers, Infotep and others, and promote a broad consultation to reorient and redefine the current characteristics of the "René Fernández Almonte" Essay contest, as well as its economic sustainability.
It also contemplates relaunching and expanding the CDP Library, teaching a Creole course for practicing journalists, specifically for reporters, signing an inter-institutional agreement with the Sociedad de la Palabra Multimedia to teach courses in voice acting, public speaking, stage fright, among others.
In financial terms, the program supporting the candidacy of Carlos Arroyo Ramos proposes to promote alternative actions for the generation of financial resources from other non-traditional sources. In this sense, it will identify and plan short and medium-term actions aimed at guaranteeing alternative financing that strengthens the administrative and financial performance of the CDP.
For the purposes set out, it will evaluate internal and external initiatives, seek advice and make the consultations it deems appropriate, including the relevance of incorporating third parties within the framework of some mutual benefit agreement. It includes implementing actions to ensure the timely payment of the fee.
Regarding the Recreational Club, the program aims to encourage among the members the full use of the recreational facilities of the Club, which the CDP administers together with the Journalism in Reflection Foundation. For these purposes, it will create a special commission to promote among members and their families the use of the facilities offered by the Recreational Club.
In addition, they will carry out information and encouragement tasks about the Club among the CDP membership, while contributing to the strengthening of its Board of Directors and contributing in a militant and punctual manner to the task of maintaining the Club's facilities at the levels they are currently at.
Another of the main points is to form a team of lawyers to offer services to registered journalists who require it.
"As can be verified, Plan #1 formulates a Program based on specific goals that have to do with the most pressing needs and challenges, both of the institution and its members. It is not about inventions conceived by people who do not know their own school and who do not support any of its activities, but who still persist in becoming "directors," says the campaign team.
He called on all supporters and sympathizers of Dos Generaciones to vote for the national ticket marked with #3, which leads Aurelio Henríquez to the presidency and Juan Carlos Bisonó to the vice presidency of the CDP.
