Mbappé accuses PSG of psychological harassment for having excluded him from the first team in 2023

Paris (EFE).- French justice opened an investigation this Tuesday into the complaint by footballer Kylian Mbappé for moral harassment against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, which removed him from the first team's discipline in 2023 as a pressure tactic to make him renew his contract or leave the club.}

The complaint was announced last month by the lawyers of the now Real Madrid player and has led to the appointment of two investigating judges to investigate the facts, judicial sources confirmed to EFE this Thursday.

Mbappé, who announced at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season that he would not fulfill the third optional year of his contract with PSG, was sidelined from the first team. The club president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, assured that it was a measure to encourage him to renew his contract or leave immediately, which would have allowed for a transfer compensation.

For a month, the striker trained with the second team before he was finally reintegrated into the first team, which was managed by Luis Enrique, after an alleged agreement with the president, Al Khaleifi.

The Payment of 55 Million Euros

The player has denied that agreement and is claiming from the club the payment of 55 million euros in arrears that PSG considers correspond to that verbal agreement.

The case has gone beyond the different sports instances and the club hopes it will reach labor court.

In parallel, Mbappé's lawyers announced a series of legal measures against the club to accept the payment of those arrears.

Among them, the lawsuit for having been removed from the first team, a practice that the players' union has been denouncing for some time.

Mbappé left for Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the 2023/2024 season, which provoked the club's anger, which confiscated those 55 million.
