Estrellas Orientales announce their coaching staff

SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS.- The Estrellas announced their coaching staff for the 2025-2026 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League.

The assistants to manager Fernando Tatis in leading the green team will be: Wilton Veras (bench coach); Ronald Ramírez (assistant manager); Manny García (pitching coach); Alexis Candelario (assistant pitching coach); Josué Pérez (batting coach) and Land Carrero (assistant batting coach).

Also attending Tatis will be coaches: Tyler Mark (bullpen coach); Carlos Paulino (catching instructor); Claudio Almonte (1B/OF coach); Elvis Peña (3B/IF coach); Miguel Bernard (baserunning coach); Ángel Rosario (game planning/quality control coach); Daniel Cabrera (coach-mentor).


In the case of Manny García, who is also a special assistant to general manager Ángel Ovalles, the well-regarded technician returns to the duties of pitching coach for the Estrellas, a role in which he debuted with the club and in the Dominican League in the 2018-2019 season, the most recent occasion in which the Estrellas won the championship.


García was also a coach for the Estrellas in the 2019-2020 season. And, years later, general manager of the club (2023-2024). He also had a stint as pitching coach and manager of the Águilas Cibaeñas.


You see, who has been a coach of the Estrellas on several occasions, is another one who returns, now as the main assistant to manager Tatis.
Others who return are Pérez, Candelario, Bernard, Peña and Mark, the latter was with the club in the 2023-2024 season.


THEY DEBUT AS COACHES


Paulino, one of the best defensive catchers of the last decades in the Dominican League, will debut as a coach, in this case of catchers, after his retirement as an active player. He played until last season, with the Águilas Cibaeñas.


Cabrera, a former star pitcher with the Stars, returns to the league after several years of retirement as a player, as a coach-mentor, to put his knowledge and experiences at the service of the Stars' players.
