Coercion measure requested for someone involved in Discovery 3.0

Santiago.- The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Palace of Justice of the province of Santiago will hear a coercion measure this Friday, August 15, for Juan Gómez, the alleged suspect in Operation Discovery 3.0. A Gómez is accused of participating in a computer fraud, theft of personal data, identity theft, and money laundering with scams against elderly people in the United States.

Nelson Peralta's son, the defendant's lawyer, handed over his client last Wednesday. In the operation, 34 raids were carried out with the participation of 50 prosecutors and 375 members of the National Police. These were carried out in Santiago, Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo. Nine people were arrested in the operation, five to be prosecuted and four for extradition purposes. Most of the detainees had a high-end car and cash seized from them.
