Santo Domingo.– The president of the National Federation of Motoconchistas (FENAMOTO), Óscar Almánzar, valued the inauguration of the overpass on Isabel Aguiar Avenue with 27 de Febrero as a work that will mark "a before and after" in the mobility of Greater Santo Domingo, by reducing accidents and significantly improving traffic flow. Almánzar explained that, before construction, this intersection was one of the most dangerous areas for motorcyclists, due to the large accumulation of vehicles and the chaos generated by the traffic lights. “Accidents were happening all the time on that corner. With this overpass, that will be reduced to zero, because so many motorcycles will no longer accumulate, nor will there be the disorder that existed,” he assured.

The leader of the motoconcho sector also highlighted the speed with which the work was executed and the positive impact it will have for the citizens of the National District, Santo Domingo Oeste and the entire Greater Santo Domingo.

“This infrastructure is going to make transit viable and will contribute to road safety, especially for motorcyclists, who are among the most vulnerable on the streets”, he expressed.

Finally, Almánzar acknowledged the effort of the Government and the Ministry of Public Works in responding to a demand of more than three decades, he highlighted that the population "receives with satisfaction a road solution that not only improves circulation, but also saves lives".
