Bichette and Ty France return to the Blue Jays' roster for the World Series

Toronto, Canada.– The Toronto Blue Jays announced this Friday the inclusion of Bo Bichette and Ty France in their official roster for the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, thus reinforcing a lineup that was already one of the most productive of the entire postseason.

Bichette, who missed the Division Series (DSLA) and the Championship Series (SCLA) due to a left knee injury, finally received the medical clearance to join the team. Although his role within the starting lineup is not yet fully defined, the star shortstop expressed his enthusiasm for being back on the most important stage. "I'm ready to help the team in whatever is needed. It's a dream to return just in time for the Fall Classic," Bichette said in statements to the club's official media. For his part, Ty France was also added to the roster, taking a spot that leaves the Blue Jays with one less outfielder and a pitching staff of 12 pitchers. The decision reinforces the middle part of the offensive order, with a focus on power and experience in high-pressure at-bats. Bichette's return is a significant boost for Toronto, which hadn't reached a World Series since 1993, and which will now seek to capitalize on its home advantage at the Rogers Centre, where the series will begin this Friday against the left-handed Blake Snell of the Dodgers. Manager John Schneider indicated that the final decision on Bichette's role will be made "day by day," but made it clear that his leadership and presence in the clubhouse will be fundamental. "Bo is a central piece of this team. Having him back, even if he doesn't play all nine innings every night, is a huge motivation for everyone," Schneider said. The 2025 World Series Game 1 will begin this Friday at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), with the Blue Jays sending rookie Trey Yesavage to the mound, while the defending champions Los Angeles Dodgers will rely on their ace left-hander Blake Snell.
