Santo Domingo. - More than 2,000 children and young people belonging to different baseball leagues in the country have been impacted by the cycle of talks and educational orientations offered by the psychologists of the Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner (DCNB), an entity that, together with the practice of this sport, strives to strengthen the mental and didactic capacity of the infants. This fact is part of one of the educational goals of the entity, fulfilling a proposal issued by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, materialized since the beginning of his first term, as the development in baseball must go hand in hand with education and mental strengthening.

The most recent encounter with the children, both on the playing field and in the auditorium, took place this weekend when the DCNB, led by former major leaguer Junior Noboa and his team of psychologists, brought that educational message to more than 200 infants, of various ages, belonging to the Mendoza, Anthony, Academias Pozo and Tony Mendoza Leagues in Santo Domingo Este.

Diogenes De la Cruz, assistant to the Director of the DCNB, Junior Noboa, was in charge of the opening remarks and exhorted the young people to always maintain focus, carrying with them the duality of developing in baseball and doing so hand in hand with a magnificent educational and mental formation. "We are here as part of our educational program of the Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner, led by Junior Noboa, which we have been carrying out throughout the national territory with these educational and motivational messages to help you so that in the future you can fulfill your dreams in baseball, but being good men for our society," said De la Cruz. From his side, Daniel Ramírez, psychologist, listed a series of factors that infants must meet to have great development on the field and mentally, these are dedication, effort, values, consistency, motivation, among others. "If they strive and manage to unite them with their growth on the field, they will have a great percentage of being part of that percentage that can reach the Major Leagues," he explained. While Esmeily Alcántara, a member of the DCNB, emphasized to the children that education will lead them to have a wider range of possibilities in life. Erickson Marte was also part of the DCNB's work team. Tony Gregorio, Church minister and president of the Mendoza League, thanked the visit of members of the DCNB in the sports community of Mendoza for bringing these educational tips to the children. Leaders Pedro Peña and Gregorio Reyes were present, as well as one of dozens of parents of the children.
