Dominican Republic's stand is consolidated as one of the main attractions of FITUR 2026

Madrid, Spain.– The stand of the Dominican Republic has established itself as one of the most visited and highly valued spaces at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026, thanks to a dynamic proposal that highlights the country's cultural identity and projects the growth and strength of its tourism industry on the world's leading stage for the sector.

The assessment was expressed by Claudia Cerro, Secretary of Economy of the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, who, after touring the fairgrounds, praised the organization and visual impact of the Dominican pavilion. In that context, they highlighted that the Dominican stand stands out for its energy, authenticity and the integration of culture, promotion and experience. Likewise, several attendees highlighted the organization of the Spain stand, especially that of Asturias, which they described as attractive and well-used in terms of design and space distribution. They also highlighted the participation of Mexico, partner country of this edition, whose proposal has generated a notable impact due to its creativity and innovation. Other countries that have attracted great attention among FITUR visitors are Puerto Rico, Argentina, Colombia and Spain, whose pavilions are among the most visited of the event. During the tour of the different exhibition modules, the participating countries exhibit their main tourist attractions, cultural manifestations, characters and identity symbols, in an environment that promotes exchange, strategic alliances and international promotion. The prominent presence of the Dominican stand at FITUR 2026 reaffirms the leadership of the Dominican Republic as one of the most competitive destinations in the Caribbean and a benchmark for diversity, innovation, and projection in the global tourism industry.
