Santo Domingo.– This Tuesday on the reality show Planeta Alofoke, model Pamela Infante, publicly clarified that she was not the minor linked to the judicial case of former Major League baseball player Wander Franco. Known on social media as "Infante," she took advantage of her participation in the program to deny the rumors that have circulated, assuring that she has no relation to the events that led the Dominican baseball player to face justice. Model explained that her name has been wrongly mentioned on social media, because she had a love relationship with Franco, but at the time of the relationship she was not a minor. The case of Wander Franco, former player for the Tampa Bay Rays, dates back to 2023, when Dominican authorities initiated an investigation following reports of an alleged relationship with a minor.

Subsequently, the Public Ministry filed charges that included sexual abuse, exploitation of minors, and other related accusations. According to investigations, the baseball player allegedly had a relationship with a teenager and even made payments, which aggravated the legal process. In June 2025, a Dominican court found him guilty of sexual abuse against a minor, imposing a suspended sentence of two years in prison. The scandal led to his departure from the playing fields since August 2023, when he was placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball while investigations were underway.
