Another group of undocumented immigrants on motorcycles are detained in Montecristi and Dajabón

Montecristi.- The Dominican Republic Army detained a group of undocumented immigrants who were traveling on motorcycles in Montecristi and Dajabón.

ERD members assigned to duty at the Mangá detachment, in Montecristi, intercepted an X1000 motorcycle, model CG200, black in color, whose driver, upon noticing the military presence, fled, leaving it abandoned with 03 Haitians in irregular migratory status.

At the same checkpoint, Army personnel also detained 07 undocumented individuals who tried to evade the military checkpoint.

The 10 foreigners and the motorcycles are at the Mangá checkpoint for the corresponding purposes.

In Dajabón, 04 undocumented individuals are detained on a motorcycle Army personnel detained in the municipality of Partido, Dajabón province, a Haojin brand motorcycle, red in color, in which 04 Haitians in irregular migratory condition were traveling, including 02 men, 01 woman and 01 minor.

The 14 foreigners will be handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for the corresponding purposes, while the vehicles will be handed over to the Public Ministry.
