EDEESTE reports service interruption due to transformer failure at Los Mina Substation

Santo Domingo. – The Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este (EDEESTE) reported that at 3:21 p.m. this Tuesday, the high and low voltage circuit breakers of the T01 Power Transformer of the Los Mina 138 kV Substation tripped. This event caused the interruption of the electrical service in a wide strip of the eastern zone.

EDEESTE explained that the incident affected various sectors of the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, associated with the circuits that depend on the Los Mina 138 kV Substation, including areas of Los Mina, Alma Rosa, Ensanche Ozama, Villa Faro, San Lorenzo, Las Enfermeras, Los Tres Brazos, among others. The company indicated that its technical teams are working hard in the area to restore the service in the shortest possible time. EDEESTE ratified its commitment to the security of the system, the stability of the service, and timely attention to users in the face of this type of event.
