Members of Parliament who have presented the most bills in the current legislature

Santo Domingo, DR. – At least nine of the 190 deputies that make up the Lower House have shown an outstanding performance during the current legislature, based on the number of bills submitted to the chamber between February 27 and July 26, 2025. The legislature was extended by presidential decree until August 5. According to data from the Legislative Information System of the institutional portal of the Chamber of Deputies, congressmen Daritza Felicidad Zapata, José del Carmen Montero, Rafael Antonio Pérez, Mirna Josefina López, Eugenio Cedeño, Jacqueline Montero, Jesús Stalin Vásquez, Ramón Raposo and Carlos de Pérez are among the legislators who have deposited the most bills in the General Secretariat of the legislative body.

Leading the list is congresswoman Daritza Felicidad Zapata, of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) for the province of Dajabón, with six legislative initiatives presented. They are followed, with five projects each, by PRM deputies José del Carmen Montero (Barahona), Mirna Josefina López (Santiago) and Eugenio Cedeño (La Romana), as well as Rafael Antonio Pérez, of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) for the province of Pedernales. With four projects submitted, Jacqueline Montero (PRM–San Cristóbal) and Jesús Stalin Vásquez (PRM–María Trinidad Sánchez) stand out. Meanwhile, Ramón Raposo, national deputy of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), and Carlos de Pérez, congressman of the FP for La Romana, presented three bills each. It should be noted that this count exclusively considers bills presented individually. Initiatives submitted jointly with other legislators or resolutions filed are not included, although these are also recorded on the institutional portal of the Chamber of Deputies.
