Who is Caramelo?

Carlos Antonio Cruz was born in Dajabón, northeast of the Dominican Republic, into a humble family.

At just 18 years old, he emigrated to New York with his younger brother, where he performed different types of jobs, including butcher, metal collector, and package deliverer in the aforementioned city, before entering La casa de los famosos All-Stars.

He dreamed of playing professional baseball, being part of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, but life had other plans for him.

Amidst the necessity and difficulties that life brought, he strived to learn the English language, learning it over time in a self-taught manner. His charisma and authenticity in performing his job as a United Parcel Service (UPS) package delivery man earned him several viral videos on social media, reaching American programs such as "The Jennifer Hudson Show", by singer Jennifer Hudson, and Latino programs like "En Casa con Telemundo".

On a personal level, Caramelo has 3 children: 2 biological and 1 stepchild, with whom was in the past his romantic partner.

“I care a lot about the mother of my children. She is a good woman and I want her to be well because she is the mother of my children,” he said to his housemates in the House of Celebrities. “She is a fighter,” he highlighted today, the winner of the reality show.

Within the competition, a romance began with the former member and reality TV star, Manelyk, with whom he hopes to start an approach outside the house.

During his time on “La Casa de los Famosos, All Star”, the Dominican returned 6 times from nomination, had 2 leaderships and 16 fights, among others.

After winning the competition, he becomes the first Dominican and man to win the competition, with women being the winners in the first four seasons.
