The Dominican woman prepares to represent the Latin community in Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand
SANTO DOMINGO.- Yamilex Hernández, the first Dominican to win Telemundo's reality show,
Miss Universe Latina, returned on Saturday afternoon to her native country after her victory in the international pageant, which grants her the right to represent the Latin community in the United States in the next edition of Miss Universe.
Hernández's return was marked by a warm welcome at the
Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo. She was accompanied by the director of
Miss RD Universe and queen preparer
Magali Febles, family, friends, and media representatives. During her arrival, the winner expressed her gratitude and the commitment she feels towards her nation.
In her first statements, the young woman highlighted the responsibility of her new role. "Carrying the name of the Dominican Republic and Latin America on this occasion is something very big to show the world what we are made of," said Hernández, who considers this achievement an honor shared with her country.

The 74th edition of the world's most relevant beauty pageant, Miss Universe 2025, will be held at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Thailand. The event is scheduled for November 21, 2025.
