An Indian 'youtuber' was arrested at the beginning of last week in New Delhi for spreading falsehoods and inciting fear, report local media.
Akshay Vashisht, who makes videos about supernatural phenomena and has over 572,000 subscribers on YouTube, claimed that Manohar International Airport, in the state of Goa, was built on a crematorium and that it was a center of paranormal activities. He also stated that many pilots had refused to fly due to alleged ghost sightings in the area.

The 'youtuber' was arrested after the Goa Police's Social Media Monitoring Unit detected the audiovisual titled 'Goa Airport Haunted by Evil'. The police reported that the content contained "false, malicious, and superstitious accusations". On September 18, Vashisht shared an Instagram post in which he called his arrest "unjustified" and "illegal," and claimed that the police had harassed him.
