San Francisco. – Dominican talent Junior Caminero shone again on Friday at Oracle Park, hitting his 35th home run of the season and leading the Tampa Bay Rays to a 7-6 victory over the San Francisco Giants.

The young third baseman, barely 21 years old, punished starting pitcher Landen Roupp in the second inning with a long-range hit that reaffirms his status as one of the most feared bats in the American League. Caminero not only leads Dominicans in home runs this 2025, but also remains among the top sluggers in all of baseball.
Tampa Bay's offense also featured the contribution of Cuban Yandy Díaz, who hit a run-scoring single in the ninth inning that decided the game. Likewise, Chandler Simpson contributed four hits and kept the Florida offense hot.
Although the Rays were down 3-1 and 6-3, Caminero's power and Díaz's opportunity in the closing were decisive in reversing the score.
