The Brazilian team dominated the pace of the game from the first half, taking advantage of their effectiveness in field goals and control of rebounds to keep the Dominicans at bay. Although the Dominican squad tried to react in the third quarter with the push of their perimeter offense, Brazil knew how to respond with a solid defense that closed any attempt at a comeback. With this victory, Brazil secures a place among the top four in the continent, while the Dominican Republic bids farewell to the tournament after a promising group stage but without being able to materialize in the decisive stage. The 2025 AmeriCup will continue with the semifinals this weekend, where the Brazilians will seek to take another step towards the continental title.
