Although he wasn't selected in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Utah organization bet on his potential, guaranteeing him a space to grow both in the first team and in its G League affiliate, in a system designed to hone young promises. RJ Luis's decision to stay in the draft —instead of transferring to another university— demonstrates his full confidence in his abilities and competitive mentality. This attitude was valued by the Jazz, a franchise recognized for its patient and effective approach to developing young talent. During his last season in college basketball, Luis averaged 18.2 points and more than 7 rebounds per game, standing out for his offensive aggressiveness, rebounding ability, and defensive commitment. However, his performance also made it clear that he must continue working on aspects such as decision-making, efficiency in outside shooting, and reducing turnovers.
